Born in Hannover, Germany worked as an assistant director at the Lower Saxony State Theatre before coming to the UK to study film directing and scriptwriting at Newport Filmschool. Mari has won various awards and nominations such as the Goldsmiths Short Script Competition, the National Student Film Association Script Competition and Euroscript Competition 2011. She has also firmly established herself as a producer and 1st assistant director and has worked for London-based production companies including Stink, Cast Iron Picture Co, Making Pictures, Bold Content and Riff Raff. She sees herself as a creative storyteller not just limited to one single profession and she is currently working on her first TV show with LA-based production company Cinemall.
Daphne Schmon is an award-winning director, producer and editor. After graduating with honors from Wesleyan University in 2009, she founded Seek Films. Her feature directorial debut CHILDREN OF THE WIND won 7 Awards in the festival circuit including "Best Documentary" and "Best Emerging Filmmaker" at X-Dance, the world's premiere action sports film festival. Since then, Daphne has led teams in 9 countries, including Kenya, Dubai and Venezuela. Rather than focusing on a genre, her work is defined by the bold originality and positive impact of the stories she tells. Her most recent project ALL OF ME was made with an entirely all-female crew. Daphne currently lives in London, and is a BNUC-s qualified drone operator.
